2 Relief Bases Launched in Sistan and Baluchestan

ZAHEDAN, Feb. 3, 2019 (IRCS) _ Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) launched a road relief base in Zahedan as well as a mountain relief base in Khash, the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan. The two bases were launched in the presence of Ali Asghar Peyvandi, IRCS President.

Currently, Iranian Red Crescent enjoys 50 mountain relief bases across the country which offer relief services to those affected in mountain incidents.

By this, the number of the relief bases of the Sistan and Baluchestan provincial Red Crescent branch reached 27 bases.

“Currently, we (Iranian Red Crescent) have 557 relief bases across the country, mostly road bases, while the number of the bases should be increased to 1200 according to standards,” said IRCS President.

Furthermore, Prof. Peyvandi visited one of the schools where Iranian Red Crescent has launched a humanitarian campaign named GHOGHNOOS aimed at providing heating equipment for elementary schools in Sistan and Baluchestan that need such systems
