TEHRAN, Apr. 11 (IRCS) _ Francesco Rocca, the President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the President of Italian Red Cross, will visit Iran next week.
IFRC President will arrive in Tehran on Sunday April 15 for a two-day visit, and will meet with Prof. Ali Asghar Peyvandi, the President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) to discuss IRCS operations on national and international disasters.
Mr. Rocca will also meet with IRCS youth, converse with them to learn about their activities.
IFRC President in the second day of his visit to Iran will participate in a ceremony which is to be hold for respecting the dedication of IRCS volunteers and relief workers.
Mr. Rocca will have a press conference in Tehran and visit Iranian Red Crescent Museum of Ali Akbar Sanati.
This is Dr. Rocca's third visit to Iran. The first was in 2013 to participate in Mena Conference, and the second one was in 2015 as IFRC Vice-President (Europe).
