BAGHDAD, Oct. 26 (IRCS) _ The Iraqi Red Crescent appreciated the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS)’s humanitarian activities in the field of health being run in Iraq.
President of the Iranian Red Crescent Ali Asghar Peyvandi, who has travelled to Iraq to visit IRCS clinical services to Arbaeen pilgrims, met and talked with Yasin Al-Mamouri, Head of the Iraqi Red Crescent, on Thursday.
“We hope to have more cooperation by signing joint memorandums of understanding (MoU),” said Peyvandi, emphasizing on IRCS interest in bolstering collaboration with Iraq.
In his speech, referring to the Iranian Red Crescent’s capabilities in medical areas, President of the Iraqi Red Crescent called on IRCS to participate more in the health field of Iraq.
“We are ready to see more Iranian Red Crescent presence in Iraqi health fields, hoping IRCS will carry out activities in Iraq more strongly.” said Al-Mamouri
He also provided a report on Iraqi Red Crescent services to Arbaeen pilgrims’ walk.
