TEHRAN, Nov. 27 (IRCS) _ President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) Ali Asghar Peyvandi thanked President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Francesco Rocca, for his twitter message on recent Kermanshah earthquake.
Following the magnitude 6.3 earthquake in Iran’s western province of Kermanshah on 25 November 2018, IFRC President sent a Message on Twitter, appreciating IRCS volunteers’ support for the affected people. Responding to the Mr. Rocca twitter message, IRCS President expressed his gratitude for the message of IFRC President and outlined IRCS volunteers’ humanitarian services to the affected people.

Dear Mr. Francesco Rocca,
On behalf of volunteers, staff and management of the Iranian Red Crescent, I would like to thank you profusely for your sincere words in your tweeter message.
I would like to inform you that since the occurrence of 6.3-magnitude earthquake which hits western Iran last night, the Iranian Red Crescent has deployed its search and rescue teams, sniffing dog teams, rapid response teams, debris removing teams, emergency sheltering teams and also emergency medical teams from the Kermanshah provincial branch to the quake affected region.
In addition to the deployed teams, relief workers and rescuers together with a number of light and heavy vehicles plus five relief helicopters from IRCS provincial branches in Zanjan, West Azerbaijan, Markazi, Chahar Mahalo-Bakhtiari and Isfahan are on standby to deploy, if necessary.
We look forward to working closer with IFRC to develop humanitarian programs more than ever.
