Iranian Red Crescent mourns loss of two rescuers

The Iranian Red Crescent is mourning the death of Mr. Vahid Mohammadi and Mr. Seyed Reza Jafari, Rescuers of the Red Crescent branch of Zanjan Province, who died on Friday, July 7, during a humanitarian operation to save the life of a person trapped in a well in the village of Stroud Zarrinrod in the city of Gheydar in Zanjan Province.

Prof. Seyed Amir Mohsen Ziaee, President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, one day after this terrible incident on July 8th arrived in the city of Gheydar in Zanjan province to express his condolence to the families of the rescuers Ja'fari and Mohammadi and take part in funeral ceremony of Red Crescent rescuers beside their families. 

“Iranian Red Crescent is in shock over this news, and we extend our deepest condolences to their families, friends and all colleagues” said Prof. Ziaee. "The death of the rescuers, Mr. Vahid Mohammadi, and Mr. Seyed Reza Jafari, as well as those who voluntarily provide services and lose their lives to save their compatriots from dangers, are martyrs for the people of Iran," 

Prof. Ziaee also took part in funeral ceremony of Red Crescent rescuers in the Gheydar mosque to once again express Red Crescent condolences, sympathize with their families and convey condolence message from Dr. Es'haq Jahangiri, first vice president of Iranian government to their families.
