IRCS hands over int’l cash contributions to affected people in Kermanshah, Sistan and Baluchestan

TEHRAN, 20 October 2020 (IRCS) - Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) distributed some of international cash contributions it had recently received among the earthquake-affected people of Kermanshah and flood-affected people of Sistan and Baluchestan province.

“This amount has been paid to the people whose houses were left half-finished,” said Mohammad Nasiri, IRCS spokesman. “1,500 quake-affected people in Kermanshah province and 3,000 flood-affected people in Sistan and Baluchestan province were paid IRR 22,000,000 (523 US dollars).”

Karim Hemmati, IRCS President, has recently said that nearly 800,000 Swiss francs out of a total of 11 million Swiss francs from the Iranian Red Crescent’s money blocked abroad due to the sanctions has been released.
