TEHRAN, Sept. 24 (IRCS) _ Following the devastating typhoon Mangkhut in the northern Philippines which left many dead and injured, the President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) Prof. Ali Asghar Peyvandi sent a message of condolence to his Philippine counterpart Richard Gordon, declaring IRCS’ readiness to support the affected people.

The full message of Prof. Ali Asghar Peyvandi reads as follows:

Dear Mr. Chairman,

I was shocked hearing the news on Typhoon Mangkhut that has killed and wounded many people in your country.

In this hard situation, the Iranian Red Crescent Society expresses its condolences to you, all volunteers and the people of Philippine as well as expressing sympathy with the families of victims and those affected in this disaster.

I would like to declare the readiness of the Iranian Red Crescent to support your activities in assisting the affected people.
