IRCS relief worker killed in Firefighting Operation

Shahr-e Kord, 08 July 2020 (IRCS) – Seyyed Mohammad Mahdi Hosseini, Red Crescent’s relief workers in southwestern province of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari lost his life in a firefighting operation in Zagros forest.

Due to the spread of wildfires in Lordegan city, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, relief teams of the Red Crescent participated in the firefighting operation to prevent the spread of fire.

On the afternoon of July 7, hot weather caused the rocks of the mountain to move and fall. Unfortunately, one of the rocks collided with relief worker Seyyed Mohammad Mahdi Hosseini of Ardal branch, bankrolled him.

He was 24 years old, and a student of law.

IRCS President Dr, Karim Hemmati expressed his condolences through a message after the incident.
