Red Crescent Responds to Mining Incident in Kermanshah
KERMANSHAH, 03 July 2020 (IRCS) - Red Crescent transferred injured miners to hospital after a mine collapsed in Sartinan village, Gilan-e Gharb County in the western province of Kermanshah, and injured six workers by gas and killed one.
The incident occurred at 13:35 p.m. on Friday, July 3. Red Crescent sent four teams including a Rapid Response team to the scene which was dispatched by the helicopter.
Debris operation showed that one of the mine workers had lost his life due to severe injury, according to Mahdi Valipour, Head of Relief and Rescue Organisation of the Iranian Red Crescent.
One of the workers was transferred by a Red Crescent helicopter to a medical centre as he was not in a good general condition and the other was transferred by an army helicopter.
Red Crescent and EMS ambulances transferred four other workers to the nearby medical centres.
