Torrential rainfall across Kerman province (in southeast Iran), on 16 April, has triggered flooding in different parts of this province. According to the reports of the Emergency Operation Center of the Iranian Red Crescent Society's Kerman provincial branch, the cities of Rine, Golbaf, Mahan and Shahdad have suffered more from the flood.

Iranian RC has deployed relief teams to the flooded areas to address the very necessary needs of the affected areas. According to the Managing Director of the provincial branch, 87 affected people received the relief services. He added that 45 relief workers (11 teams) were deployed to the areas and also relief and food items (food packages, bread, canned beans, tent, blanket and ground sheet) have been distributed in 10 villages and cities to the affected families.
More damages are reported in Shahdad, where air relief teams dispatched to render relief services and distribute necessary items.
The relief operation is still ongoing in the affected areas.
