Flood hit five provinces and affected two-thousand people

According to reports from Relief and Rescue Organisation of the Iranian Red Crescent, five provinces of Golestan, Gilan, Khorasane Razavi, North Khorasan and Semnan are hit by flash floods during last three days since late Thursday. Relief and Rescue Organisation reported that two thousand people have been affected in 21 cities and villages, six are missed and twelve were killed in the flood affected areas. 

Seventy-nine operational teams including four hundred fifty relief workers and rescuers from the Iranian Red Crescent provincial branches are engaged in relief and rescue services. Red Crescent teams have been setup a number of tents to shelter ninety-six people besides evacuating thirty-three people to safe places. water has been pumped out of 101 residential units so far. 

According to the reports from Relief and Rescue Organisation, 11 family tents, 840 blankets, 370 ground sheets, 270 hygiene kits and 2,200 tins of canned food have been distributed amongst the beneficiaries up to now. Relief and rescue operations of the Iranian Red Crescent are still continuing in the affected sites and Relief and Rescue Organisation is rendering search, relief and rescue services to the flood-stricken people in these cities and villages.
