Iran/ Tehran/ IRCS _ January 10th _ The Iranian Red Crescent Society rendered relief services to 645 victims of the snowstorm in 12 provinces January 5 to 9.
37 IRCS teams comprising of 123 relief workers rendered relief services to the affected persons in the hard-hit areas.
Morteza Salimi, Head of the IRCS's Relief and Rescue Organization, said 102 vehicles stuck in snow were released by IRCS relief workers.
"Relief workers provided 74 people with emergency shelter", Salimi added.
The relief workers also transported 4 victims to nearby health centers for treatment. 105 blankets were distributed among the snow-affected as well.
The Iranian provinces of Isfahan, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Khuzestan, Semnan, Fars, Qazvin, Kerman, Kohgiluyeh and Boyerahmad, Golestan, Gilan, Lorestan and Mazandaran, in western and central Iran, were affected by snowstorm January 5 to 9.
