KERMAN, Jun. 13 (IRCS) _ No one is reported dead or injured in the quake which struck Ravar county in Iran’s southeastern province of Kerman.
A magnitude 5 earthquake struck the Lut Desert near Ravar county, where no one dwelled, on Wednesday night, 13 June, 2018 at 21:17 pm. The quake happened at the depth of 14 kilometers of the ground surface.
The quake left no deaths, injuries or damage to buildings. Following the quake, Red Crescent immediately sent assessment teams and relief workers to the affected areas. The quake was felt in Zarand, Kerman and Rafsanjan counties as well.
Ravar city is considered a quake-prone region in Kerman province. A devastating 6.1 magnitude earthquake hit Hojedk city in Ravar County on December 2, 2018 at 06:02 a.m. local time. The earthquake affected 21 villages in Hojedk District and left 51 injured.
