On 19 to 31 May 2017, sniffing dog teams of the Iranian Red Crescen had two week training course in Germany to get professional trainings on sniffing dogs in close cooperation with the German Red Cross.
Based on the signed Memorandum of Understanding between the Iranian Red Crescent and the German Red Cross, both Societies are enjoying fruitful cooperation and successful operational trainings in training sniffing dogs since past 10 years.
Two Red Crescent sniffing dog training courses have been held in Iran and two in Germany which increased the number of sniffing dog trainers for the Iranian Red Crescent up to 11. During the course, the Iranian Red Crescent sniffing dog teams practiced with various German sniffing dog teams from Customs, Police and other relevant organisations.
Nine teams from provincial branches of Tehran, Isfahan, Kerman, Boushehr, Kermanshah, Khorasane-Razavi, Fars and Relief and Rescue Organisation attended the training course in Germany. The training course enhanced the capabilities and operational standards of Red Crescent sniffing dog teams to save the lives and even train the sniffing dog teams of neighbouring National Societies.
At the end of this course, logo and uniform of Iran's Red Crescent Society as well as the Iranian National Flag were awarded to Museum of the German Red Cross.
