Iran’s consul general in Karbala, Mir-Masoud Hosseinian, thanked the IRCS Volunteers Organisation through an appreciation message.
During this year’s Arbaeen, IRCS Volunteers served 797 disabled pilgrims in Karbala and sent them to Iran after assisting and accommodation.
Arbaeen is a Shia religious observation that occurs 40 days after the Day of Ashura, commemorating martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS), the third Shia Imam.
Iranian Red Crescent deployed its medical teams, relief workers, young members and volunteers in Iraq to serve Arbaeen pilgrims.
Furthermore, nearly 2 million various cases of health and medical services were offered to Arbaeen pilgrims by Red Crescent medical teams.
