During the last 48 hours (February 16-17), IRCS relief workers and rescuers rendered relief services to more than 1,800 people in 102 towns, villages and mountain arteries in the provinces of East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan, Yazd, Hamedan, Markazai, Mazandaran, Lorestan, Golestan, Kohgiluyeh and Buyerahmad, Kermanshah, Kerman, Kordestan, Ghazvin, Fars, Zanjan, Khuzestan, South Khirasan, North Khorasan, Khorasan-e Razavi, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Bushehr, Ilam, and Ardebil.

206 travelers and passengers, affected by severe climatic conditions, were given emergency makeshift shelters in IRCS relief base, schools, and mosques.

Furthermore, 403 vehicles stuck in snowstorm were recovered by volunteers.

Head of the IRCS Relief and Rescue Organization called on the people to contact IRCS emergency number (112–Relief Voice) if they are at risk of natural or manmade disasters. 112 emergency number can be contacted even without SIM-card.
