“The number of Red Crescent’s rehabilitation centers increased from 127 to 200 around the country last year,” said Dr. Hassan Safarieh, Under-Secretary General for Health, Treatment and Rehabilitation. “Those who receive these services are society’s vulnerable and low-income people, some of them weakened due to disabilities.”
Rehabilitation and disability are high in Iran, which have become a serious concern for the country due to the large number of road accidents.
IRCS enjoys a long history in rehabilitation and health services. Currently, 14 hospitals and clinics of the Iranian Red Crescent provide health services in 13 countries in Asia, Africa and South America.
Furthermore, IRCS is rendering health and medical services to people in 49 clinics and 39 pharmacies across the country.
