IRCS President Sends Condolence Message to Philippine Counterpart
TEHRAN, 28 October 2019 (IRCS) – Following a magnitude 6.3 earthquake that struck southern areas of the Philippines on 16 October, causing casualties and damaging buildings, President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) Ali Asghar Peyvandi sent a message of condolences to Richard J. Gordon, Chairman and CEO of the Philippine Red Cross (PRC).

The full message of the Iranian Red Crescent president reads as follows:
Dear Mr. Gordon,
With sorrow we have been informed of the of 6.3 magnitude earthquake that struck southern areas of Philippines on Wednesday on 16 October 2019 leading to death and injuries of Philippine citizens as well as damages to houses and schools.
The Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) extends its sincere solidarity in such situation to you and all your staff and volunteers as well as our deep condolences for the loss of the lives of the people. May God rest their souls in peace.
I am sure that the Philippine Red Cross with the involvement of its dedicated volunteers has already done its best to lessen the suffering of the affected population. wishing the survivors of the earthquake strengths and resilience.
The IRCS wishes you and your colleagues all the very best in your endeavors in reduction of the human sufferings.
