Alexis Bandrich Vega, Cuban ambassador to Iran, met with Prof, Ali Asghar Peyvandi, President of the Iranian Red Crescent at IRCS headquarters on Wednesday, February 20.
Referring to interesting fields between Iran and Cuba after Iran 1979 Islamic revolution, Peyvandi said: “In 2010, Iranian Red Crescent sent humanitarian aids, including blanket, tent, mosquito net, etc. to render relief services to the people who were affected by the snowstorm.”

He also outlined the Iranian Red Crescent activities in the country and abroad, adding that IRCS was one of the members of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies’ Governing Board.
For his part, Cuban ambassador to Iran congratulated the anniversary of the Iran’s Islamic revolution and offered condolences for the Zahedan terrorism incident.
He referred to the recent snowstorm in Cuba, which was the strongest one in the past 80 years in this country, and listed the items his country needed after the snowstorm.
Alexis Bandrich Vega also hailed humanitarian activities of the Iranian Red Crescent and the Iranian nation.
