IRCS sends condolence message to China
TEHRAN, 25 June 2019 (IRCS) – Following devastating flooding in China, which killed 61 people in southern and central parts of the country, Ali Asghar Peyvandi, President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), sent a message of condolence to Zhu Chen, his counterpart in the Chinese Red Cross.

The message reads as follows:
Dear Mr. President,
The Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) presents its compliments to you and all diligent staff and volunteers of the Red Cross Society of China.
With great sorrow we heard the news of the rainstorm-triggered floods that swept through large parts of southern and central China, which resulted in extreme damages to residential and agriculture areas as well as death of Chinese citizens.
In this hard situation, the IRCS expresses its condolences to you, all your colleagues in the Red Cross Society of China and the people of China, especially those severely affected by the floods.
Being aware of the Red Cross Society of China strong capacities in humanitarian affairs, the IRCS wishes you and your colleagues all the very best in your endeavors in reduction of the human sufferings.
