Every year, IRCS young volunteers welcome the new Persian year by planting young trees and with this symbolic work, on the brink of spring, bring life back to the earth.
“The purpose of this program is to revitalize and promote the culture of respecting the nature,” said Shahaboddin Sabounchi, Head of the IRCS Youth Organization. “Likewise, along with other Iranians, members of the clubs of youth, school and university students as well as Ghoncheha-ye Helal (minor members of IRCS) welcome spring by planting saplings and pioneer in preserving the environment.”
During the National Day of Tree Planting, IRCS youths headed to parks, jungles, etc. to plant young trees. This year, they joined a national campaign entitled as “Let’s Plant Trees”, welcoming spring by planting flowers and young trees.
In Iran, March 6 to 13 is Natural Resources Week and the first day of this week is entitled as the Tree Planting Day.
