According to the Youth Organisation of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), 37 young members of the Iranian Red Crescent participated in the IRCS services to Arbaeen pilgrims in Iraq this year.
These services included guiding pilgrims to medical centers, directing the pilgrims to required places, first aid such as dressing and bandage, etc. which were offered to 176,101 Arbaeen pilgrims in Iraq by the IRCS youth members.
In Iran, 1,784 of the IRCS youth members served 177, 379 pilgrims who were taking part in Arbaeen procession. The services included guiding the pilgrims, assisting the pilgrims with disabilities, blood pressure tests, sugar pressure tests, outpatient services, distributing cultural items among the pilgrims, etc.
Iranian Red Crescent has extended its medical services to pilgrims in Iraq until October 29.
