Iranian Red Crescent takes actions to alleviate the suffering of the flood affected people in Serbia
Mr. Alexander Tasich, the Ambassador of Serbia met with Dr. Seyed Ahmad Moussavi, Secretary General of the Iranian Red Crescent Society here in Tehran on 19 May 2014.
Dr. Moussavi welcomed the Ambassador in his office at the Iranian Red Crescent Society headquarters in Peace Building and expressed his sympathy with the flood affected people in Serbia. He expressed the IRCS readiness to meet the needs of the flood affected people.
In his speech, Dr. Moussavi, said based on the humanitarian purposes, the IRCS will do its best to reduce the suffering of the Serbian affected people and hope to improve the bilateral cooperation and relations between two nations.
In follow, Mr. Tasich pointed to the situation of the flood affected people in his country and added that a huge number of people face with damages and lost their houses all over the Balkan region and need contribution at this time.
The Iranian Red Crescent Society is preparing a humanitarian consignment to be dispatched to Serbia for the benefit of the disaster affected people.
