The First National Relief & Rescue Tournament organized in Isfahan Province, Islamic Republic of Iran
 
 
The first national relief and rescue tournament for the Iranian Red Crescent relief workers in the fields of road rescue, rubble evacuation, inundation, height, emergency shelter, air rescue and sniffer dogs was conducted in the international training center of the IRCS Isfahan branch on September 2011. The series of competitions held separately for male and female relief workers. The number of male participants was 700 plus 10 supervisors, 70 organizers, 34 referees and 50 drivers while that of female participants was 156 as well as 13 supervisors, 30 organizers, 17 referees and 31 drivers. The participants were supposed to score on the items of SPEED, SKILL and STRENGTH. Based on the final scores in the above-mentioned fields for male participants, Khorasan Razavi took the first ranking; Isfahan the second and Golestan province on the third place. For female participants, the first place was Tehran province, Qom was the second and the third place went for East Azerbaijan. The winners awarded at the closing ceremony. Getting acquaintance with the harsh situations, team work building in emergencies, gaining knowledge of personal and inter-personal capabilities in the field of relief and rescue, and learning operational teams weak and strong points were the tournament aims.ϬÏ▒ϼ┘à┘ç-+Ϻ┘ä┘à┘¥█îϺϻ+┘êÏ▒Ï▓Ï┤█î[1]
