The President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society discussed more cooperation with the Ambassador of Spain in Tehran

During this visit, Dr. Faghih mentioned that there are good relationships between the Iranian Red Crescent Society and Spanish Red Cross and the joint projects are under process between two our National Societies. He continued the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will be concluded between IRCS and SRCS in near future for the promotion of more bilateral cooperation and related communication.

He added that the Iranian Red Crescent Society emphases on the principle of prevention in its activities through organizing of the public and specialized courses with theme of Coping with Disaster in Helal Higher Educational Institute and Educational Research Center and the Spanish residents in Iran can participate in these short-term training courses. Also, in time of the disasters, the IRCS Under-Secretary General of International Affairs and IHL is ready to cooperate with the embassy of Spain in Tehran for providing of the urgent and necessary contributions.

Consequently, Mr. Pedro Villena, Ambassador of the Spain expressed that the Iranian Red Crescent Society has been recognized as one of the strongest National Societies in the world and welcomed the IRCS preventive plans for the Spanish residents and insisted on preparedness of the embassy of Spain for rendering any assistance for raising more cooperation among two IRCS and SRCS. Meanwhile, he added that the Spanish Red Cross is considered as one of the biggest organizations in Spain.

Finally, he informed about the proper coordination between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain and the embassy of Spain in Tehran and said that all Spanish residents will be received the essential information in time of the disasters by the embassy.

At the end of session, Dr. Faghih invited Mr. Villena, Ambassador of Spain  for visiting to the different sections of the Iranian Red Crescent Society.
