30 suspected Covid-19 patients quarantined

TEGHRAN, 22 March 2021 (IRCS) - Iranian Red Crescent aid workers have screened more than 31,000 travellers in borers of the country for Covid-19 infection during the past 12 days and 30 suspected Corona patients were sent to quarantine.

“31,025 travellers who were entering the country have been screened for Covid-19 by the Iranian Red Crescent relief workers during the period between March 11 and 22,” said Dr Mohammad Hassan Ghosian Moghaddam, Secretary General of the Iranian Red Crescent.

According to the National Headquarters of Managing Coronavirus, the Iranian Red Crescent is responsible for controlling travellers who arrive at the country through official borders in 16 provinces including 23 air, land and sea borders.

During the given period, 7,076 travellers have been tested rapidly by Red Crescent’s aid workers and 3,864 PCR tests were performed, IRCS secretary general added.
