6.2 magnitude earthquake hit Hojdek city in Kerman province in the southeast of Iran at 12:22 pm on December 12, and left 2 injured in a village near Hojdek city.

 6.2 magnitude earthquake hit Hojdek city in Kerman province in the southeast of Iran at 12:22 pm on December 12, and left 2 injured in a village near Hojdek city.

Following this incident, 10 assessment teams from the provincial branch of the Iranian Red Crescent were immediately dispatched to the affected site.

According to Morteza Salimi, head of the IRCS relief and rescue organization, the earthquake destroyed walls of 20 homes in Gask village and walls of a historical monument in Horjand village.
