A High Level Delegation of the Iranian Red Crescent Society to Visit Sudanese Red Crescent Society
The high ranking delegation of the Iranian Red Crescent Society headed by Dr. Mohammad Abbasi, Secretary General paid one-day visit to the Sudanese Red Crescent Society and IRCS clinic on Saturday, 29 June 2013.
The main purpose of this visit was to share the knowledge and experiences as well as discussion on mutual cooperation between two National Societies in different fields of training for the SRCS staff and volunteers, production of the Helal-Iran Textile Industries to be stocked in Sudan, provision of medicine and medical equipments as well as rehabilitation services such as production of artificial limbs in Sudan.
During the visit, Secretary General of the Sudanese Red Crescent expressed his appreciation to the Iranian Red Crescent Society to organize the training courses for the SRCS staff and volunteers. The IRCS also proposed to schedule some training courses in Iran and emphasized on continuous training such as disaster management and first aid.
The Sudanese counterpart requested to sign the MOU in coordination with Sudan Ministry of Health for resolving the problem of medicine clearance and welcomed the offer of the proper building to the Iranian Red Crescent Society for training the various courses.
