Deployment of the IRCS Youth members in Relief and Humanitarian Initiatives during the Summer Holidays in the Coastal, tourist and Religious Areas
The Youth Organization of the Iranian Red Crescent Society implemented the SAHAB project during the Nowruz holiday (Iranian New Year).
While implementing this project, 270 mobile youth teams were deployed to 270 regions of the country to provide first aid and relief services to the passengers settled in the parks, jungles, coastal areas and river side using bicycles or by foot.
With the commencement of the summer holiday, the IRCS once again deployed its youth members to guide the passengers who traveled to the Caspian Sea and other tourist and religious regions.
The main objectives of these missions are to inform people of the dangerous areas including mine and slump lands.
They do their best to settle the family in safe regions alongside the jungle and river and let them know of the forbidden zones for Swimming.
Distribution the life-safe jacket in fixed related stations, installation of the warning plaque on the dangerous routes, recognition of non-standard and unsafe area for children playing, rendering of the first aid and health care and protection of the environment are among the other activities of the youth members as well.
On the other hand, the IRCS Youth Organization is conducting the Youth Camp in the city of Anzali in north of Iran in two periods starting from 14 to 16 August 2013 as well as 17 to 20 August 2013. The youth members are benefiting from training and sport activities such as swimming, yachting, shooting and pinball in this camp.
The participation in the workshops of the Psychosocial Support after the Disasters and Prevention of the Drug addiction, visiting the historical places and the related competitions are planned for the youth.
