Dr. Seyed Amir Mohsen Ziaee, President of the Iranian Red Crescent expressed the IRCS condolence to Ms. Fatima Gailani and Dr. Saeed Elahi, President and Chairman of Afghan Red Crescent and Pakistan Red Crescent Societies respectively over major earthquakes that hit part of these countries, killing and wounding many people. In his condolence, Dr. Ziaee mentioned:

“With great sorrow, we learnt about the major earthquake that hit part of your country today, killing and wounding many people.

In this hard situation, the Iranian Red Crescent Society expresses its condolences to you and the people of your country as well as expressing sympathy with the families of victims and those affected in this deadly disaster.

We, in the Iranian Red Crescent, are well aware about enough capacity of your National Society in dealing with such tragic disasters however I would like to declare the readiness of the Iranian Red Crescent to support your activities in assisting the affected people.
