ICRC seeks to develop cooperation with IRCS through Helal Iran Textile Industries Company
TEHRAN, 03 March 2021 (IRCS) – Daniel Munoz-Rojas, Acting head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Delegation in Tehran visited Helal Iran Textile Industries Company, an affiliate to the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS).
He also had a meeting with Mohammadreza Amirian, Chief Executive, chairman and managers of the company, discussing to develop cooperation among the ICRC and Helal Iran Textile Industries.
Referring to International Committee of the Red Cross humanitarian efforts in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan and Yemen, Mr Munoz-Rojas announced that the ICRC is interested to expand its cooperation with the Iranian Red Crescent Society, including Helal Iran Textile Industries Company.
Acting head of the ICRC Delegation in Tehran considered the use of the production capacity of Helal Iran Textile Industries Company to provide items in case of emergency and regional crises as a good opportunity.
He also spoke about the readiness of the ICRC to cooperate and exchange knowledge with Helal Iran Textile Industries in order to further synchronize the company's products with the latest standards of the Red Cross, hoping that through expanding the cooperation between the two sides the company will become one of the most important suppliers of relief items in the region.
Mr Munoz-Rojas visited various company production lines, quality control laboratory, items produced at the company and exhibition of items.
Helal Iran Textile Industries Company which is affiliated to the Iranian Red Crescent produces a variety of relief items including tents, blankets, relief bags, etc which are used during the natural crises and are vital for affected people.
