IFRC Welcomes IRCS suggestion over Development Policy of National Societies
TEHRAN (IRCS) - On the second day of the IFRC Governing Board, which is held virtually, the members reviewed the National Societies Development.
During the session, Pir Hossein Kolivand, the President of the Iranian Red Crescent, called for efforts for legal support at national level and strengthen organizational, structural, human resources and effective planning in the National Societies through the IFRC capabilities.
Referring to strengthening technical and operational capacities relying on the modern knowledge and modern sciences, he emphasized the importance of using technology both for the development of National Societies and for the easy transfer of experiences.
IRCS President also pointed out developing volunteers activities through sustainable financial resources.
After the IRCS president’s speech, Francesco Rocca, the IFRC President, asked the IFRC secretary general to consider the suggestions of Mr Kolivand.
He added that the Iranian Red Crescent’s experiences were effective for the development of National Societies around the world.
