IRCS, Ghana to promote health clinic in Accra
ACCRA, 20 January 2021 (IRCS) - Iranian Red Crescent Society President Karim Hemmati and Ghana Red Cross Society President Kwame Gyimah akwafo discussed promoting IRCS health center in Accra and bolstering cooperation between the two Societies.
During the meeting which was held on Tuesday, 19 January, the two sides talked about enhancing IRCS health center in Accra to a medical day clinic or hospital, sending equipment for the center, dispatching Iranian Doctors to Ghana, implementing joint health projects, offer free visits for patients in Manfi region and provide first aid training programs.
They also considered expanding cooperation between the two Societies in training areas, prevention of infectious and non-communicable diseases, disasters management and disaster risk reduction.
Since 1990, Iranian Red Crescent has started its humanitarian services to patients in Accra in areas of General practitioner, Oncology, Dentistry, pediatrics Otorhinolaryngology, Physiotherapy, Sonography, Radiology, Laboratory and Pharmacy.
Iranian Red Cross and Ghana Red Cross also signed a 10-year MOU in 2014.
