IRCS, Sierra Leone Health Ministry to sign new MOU
FREETOWN, 16 January 2021 (IRCS) - Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) and Health Ministry of Sierra Leone are planned to renew a Memorandum of Understanding which had not been renewed since 2017.
Iranian Red Crescent President Karim Hemmati met with Sierra Leone's Minister of Health and Sanitation Alpha Wurie on Saturday, January 16, discussing services in the IRCS health center in Freetown as well as renewing an MOU between the two organizations.
According to the new MOU, Iranian Red Crescent will commit itself to equipping the IRCS health center and launching branches of Gynaecology and Hemodialysis in the center.
It was also decided that the two sides render their ideas on the draft of the MOU that will be signed by Monday.
During the meeting, Health Minister of Sierra Leone appreciated IRCS aids to the African country, and said: “The services provided by the Iranian Red Crescent in health center will be useful in continuing the cooperation and will be a great help to the people of this country.”
