IRCS Volunteer Awarded Florence Nightingale Medal

TEHRAN, 23 May 2021 (IRCS) – The Florence Nightingale Medal for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region was awarded to Dr. Seyed Nasser Emadi, a volunteer of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS).

Dr Emadi (55), who studied dermatology at the University of Tehran, is now a faculty member at Tehran University of Medical Sciences and, as a volunteer, has provided humanitarian services to needy patients in deprived areas of Iran, Iraq, Kenya, Tanzania, Somalia, Ghana, Nigeria, Burundi, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Afghanistan.
