IRCS to boost Services in Ivory Coast
YAMOUSSOUKRO, 12 January 2021 (IRCS) - President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) Dr Karim Hemmati emphasized that specialized services should be rendered to patients in the Society’s polyclinic in Ivory Coast during his visit to the African country on January 12.
Mr Hemmati who had a meeting with the President of the Red Cross Society of Côte d'Ivoire also said: “Necessary measures must be taken to modernize the equipment of the Iranian Red Crescent’s clinic.”
Furthermore, appreciating the Iranian Red Crescent services in the Society’s polyclinic in Abidjan since 2003, Dr Léonce DA, President of Red Cross Society of Côte d'Ivoire, said: “We are proud that the Iranian Red Crescent Society, as one of the most important and long-standing partners, is cooperating with Ivory Coast and is one of the fewicountries that provide humanitarian services.”
During the meeting, the two sides also talked about cooperation on education and relief areas and to boost their collaboration in the level of International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).
In line with its humanitarian objectives, Iranian Red Crescent has health centers in 13 countries in Asia, Africa and South America and offers health and medical services to the patients.
