Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman visits IRCS health centers in western Africa

ACCRA, Freetown (IRCS) - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh visited the health centers of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) in the western African countries of Ghana and Sierra Leone.

During the visits, while appreciating the health services of the Iranian Red Crescent in West Africa, Mr Khatibzadeh said that Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran would follow up on the problems of the centers.

The sanctions which have caused the problems over transferring medicine and currency from Iran to the centers were the most important problems that were expressed by the heads of the centers.

The Iranian Red Crescent offers health and treatment services in 13 countries around the world based on the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and its humanitarian mandates.
