Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has praised efforts done by the Iranian Red Crescent during its response operations in emergencies.

Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks at a meeting with the authorities, officials and managers of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tehran on Sunday, 21 July 2013. The Supreme Leader expressed his thanks to God for the opportunity of fasting in virtue of Ramadan month on the commencement of the meeting.

The Leader referred to his presence in the deprived villages and earthquake affected areas before Islamic Revolution and stated,

"I had personally formed a relief group in some large scale earthquakes and we worked over there. I witnessed how efforts was made and how the work was done and currently, just see how fast assistance is provided if there is a quake in part of the country, a natural disaster happens and people encounter problems. This is incredible but in fact true,ÔÇØ

During the meeting, the Supreme Leader asked all authorities responsible in relief, economy, technology, culture, science and other relevant fields to increase their efforts to improve all performances properly in the country.
