The New Head of the International Committee of Red Cross Mission in Tehran met with the IRCS President
 
"Definitely, the cooperation and joint activities between the Iranian Red Crescent Society and the International Committee of Red Cross will continue in future, Dr. Faghih said in his last meeting with Mr. Ryter, Head of the ICRC Mission in Tehran.
Dr. Abolhasan Faghih, President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society visited Mr. Pierre Ryter, Head of the ICRC Delegation in Building of Peace of the Iranian Red Crescent Society on the occasion of his mission termination in Tehran on Sunday, 30 June 2013.
During this meeting, Dr. Faghih  pointed to the fruitful communication and good relationship between two organizations and said we believe that our cooperation and joint activities will strongly  remain and the IRCS support the ICRC programs as before.
In follow, Mr. Pierre Ryter, Head of the International Committee of Red Cross introduced Mr. Olivier Martini, as the new Head of the ICRC Mission in Tehran and continued that the relations in the International Movement of the Red Cross and Red Crescent is like a family relationship and the implementation of joint projects with the Iranian Red Crescent Society was the best moments for him in Iran. He also mentioned the release of 7 IRCS relief workers in Libya was the utmost challenges during his mission.
He added that organizing of the MENA Conference in Tehran, HCID meeting, Humanitarian Law meetings in cooperation with National Committee of the International Humanitarian Law, conference of Islamic and Humanitarian Law as well as RFL meeting were among the successful and good joint programs which have had the positive feedbacks.
Mr. Ryter also explained the future cooperation in rehabilitation field, organizing of the disability conference in near future, the implementation of the temporary project of mine victims' recognition. He informed that the IRCS will host the H.E.L.P course in cooperation with the ICRC and Tehran Medical University.
Mr. Olivier Martini officially will take his position next month, who expressed his interest for being presence in Iran and said  he has worked in 2003 for a short period in Kermanshah and consequently continued that we will follow up the previous policy and finally emphasized on the joint cooperation between the Iranian Red Crescent Society and the International Committee of Red Cross.
