Training workshop on environmental health and mental health
The second one-day training workshop on environmental health and mental health in emergencies was held by Red Crescent Health, Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre in close cooperation with Red Crescent provincial branch in Hamedan in the presence of 30 representatives from 10 provincial branches of the Iranian Red Crescent. Participants were psychological support professionals, environmental health practitioners and Red Crescent volunteer members from Alborz, Ilam, Tehran, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Khuzestan, Semnan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Lorestan and Hamedan provinces. The workshop aimed to introduce concepts, job descriptions as well as to prepare and organize volunteers and practitioners to actively take part in future operations on health and medical emergencies.
