Iran/ Tehran/ IRCS _ January 12th _ Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has dispatched 12 assessment teams to the earthquake _affected regions in Kermanshah and Ilam provinces in western Iran.
Morteza Salimi, Head of the IRCS' Relief and Rescue Organization, said the teams were dispatched to 36 villages in Kermanshah and Ilam provinces to render relief services to the quake-affected people.
Some of the buildings were affected by the aftershocks as well.
Over 70 aftershocks have shaken the border city of Ghasr Shirin, Soumar since 10:29 a.m. Thursday with the strongest one being of 5.6 magnitude.
A local official said the earthquake affected 13 citizens with minor injuries.
