Fars/Hormozgan/Khuzestan/Bushehr, Feb. 08 (IRCS) – Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) inaugurated three relief and rescue bases, two relief warehouses and a health center in the southern provinces of Fars and Hormozgan and southwestern provinces of Khuzestan and Bushehr.
IRCS President Ali Asghar Peyvandi who has started his provincial tour since Feburary 5, 2018, traveled to Fars province on Thursday. In attendance of IRCS President, a road relief and rescue base in Chahar Berkeh of Larestan county, an urban relief builiding in Lamerd county and a relief items warehouse in Qir and Karzin county were opened officially.
Furthermore, an urban relief building was inaugurated in Mohr county of Fars province in the presence of the Head of IRCS Relief and Rescue Organization.
This year, during the Ten-Day Fajr (Dawn) of Islamic Revolution, Iranian Red Crescent is opening 22 projects including relief, health, etc across the country.
In the ceremony of opening the road relief base in Larestan, IRCS President, referring to heavy traffic in Larestan roads, said: “The region needed to have a road relief and rescue base and road accidents, also called silent death, kill many compatriots every year, so building such a base can facilitate responding to the accidents.”
The road relief and rescue base in Larestan has been built with the cooperation of Morteza Azizpour, a phylantrophist from Larestan and Red Crescent in 5,000 square meters.
Another center which was opened during Dr. Peyvandi's tour to eastern and southern provinces, the relief warehouse of IRCS branch in Bandar Khamir, Hormozgan province, was inaugurated on Thursday in 900 square meters.
In the southern province, a road relief base was inaugurated in Jashk of Bushehr province in 70 km off Dayyer county in 500 square meters.
Also, IRCS Secretary General Mahmoud Mohammadi Nasab visited the southwestern, oil-rich province of Khuzestan.
The Limited Surgery Center of Abadan Red Crescent branch, an administrative building and a multipurpose hall of IRCS branch of Aghajari county were also inaugurated in the presence of IRCS secretary general.
in Khuzestan Mohammadi Nasab also met with the family of IRCS martyr’s relief worker Mohammad Hadinejad and visited Imam Sajjad road relief base in Ramhormoz county.
It should be noted that Iranian Red Crescent Society is currently conducting 2,000 Construction projects with some being inaugurated in 39th anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
