Red Crescent aid workers participated in the relief operations to save the incident’s victims and rescued a number of the injured people by the explosion.
Red Crescent immediately dispatched nine operational teams to the spot of the incident
“The incident killed four, including two men, one woman and a child,” said Ali Khodadadi, managing director of the Khuzestan provincial Red Crescent branch. “Also, four men and two women were injured who were transferred to hospitals.”
The incident occurred on Thursday, 14 March, at 09:45 local time. Red Crescent immediately dispatched nine operational teams to the spot of the incident, including ten rescuers as a rapid response team, 20 relief workers from Ahvaz Red Crescent branch as well as five ambulances.
