Red Crescent Teams Transport Injured People to Medical Centers after Deadly Crash in Golestan
GORGAN, 21 September 2019 (IRCS) – Red Crescent teams transferred injured people to medical centers after a minibus crashed into a trailer in the Gonbad Kavus-Incheboron artery in the northern province of Golestan, killing 14 people and injuring 18 other people on 21 September.

At least 14 minibus passengers lost their lives when a minibus carrying mostly women and kids crashed into a trailer carrying cement at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday. The trailer had been skidded to the left due to the driver’s drowsiness. Both vehicles caught fired in the accident. The bus was going to Ali Abad Katoul from Karand Village, Maraveh Tappeh County, when it hit the trailer.
Mohammad Ali Heravy, Managing Director of Golestan provincial Red Crescent branch, said: “The Red Crescent dispatched three teams, including 10 rescuers and relief workers as well as an ambulance and a rescue vehicle to the scene of the accident.”
Red Crescent and EMS ambulances transferred the injured people to nearby medical centers.
The number of minibus passengers was 31, of which 15 were adults and 16 were under 12 years of age. The drivers of both vehicles were thrown out of the car after the accident and were transferred to a medical center by relief workers.
