Slovakia Sends Aid to Flood-Hit People

TEHRAN, 6 May 2019 (IRCS) – The government of Slovakia has sent a six ton relief consignment for Iran’s flood-affected people.

Slovakia Sends Aid to Flood-Hit People

The Iranian Red Crescent has received the consignment including 30 tents, 144 blankets, 10 water-mud pumps, 8 generators, 65 flasks, 421 pairs of boots and kitchen sets.

So far, Turkey, Germany, Swiss, Kuwait, Japan, Armenia, Russia, France, Azerbaijan, Oman, South Korea, Georgia, India, Czech, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Austria, China and Slovakia have sent in-kind aids to Iran to support the affected people by March floods.

78 people were killed and more than 1,136 injured in the recent floods in Iran. The floods also damaged houses and infrastructures, affecting over 10,000,000 people.
