In this meeting held on , Miss Alishvandi referred to the problems caused by sanctions for carrying out humanitarian actions and asked Mr. Elsharkawi that the International Federation to use its humanitarian diplomacy for lifting the impact of sanctions on the Iranian Red Crescent activities.

During this meeting, Mr Elsharkawi appreciated the cooperation of the Iranian Red Crescent, saying: “The Iranian Red Crescent has always been our most important partner in the region and our cooperation is expected to develop,”

The Iranian Red Crescent Society as a member in the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement has close cooperation with the IFRC for responding to the humanitarian missions around the world.
