President Masoud Pezeshkian, speaking at a specialized session with officials of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), stated that the Society can foster greater public engagement by attracting and involving a broader spectrum of the community, given its grassroots nature, relief-oriented approach, and well-established reputation for trust. He emphasized that all planning within the Iranian Red Crescent should be grounded in addressing three key questions: “What specific challenges do our communities face?”, “Which of these issues fall within the Red Crescent’s mandate and operational capacity?”, and “To what extent can our existing potential be effectively realized and leveraged?” Dr. Pezeshkian further noted that, given its strong social standing, the Iranian Red Crescent is well positioned to mobilize diverse social and intellectual groups in order to expand public participation.
