Mortazavi, Sajjadi Join Red Crescent

TEHRAN (IRCS) - Sowlat Mortazavi, Vice President of Iran for Executive Affairs, and Hamid Sajjadi, Minister of Sport and Youths of Iran, joined the Red Crescent.

They became a Red Crescent volunteer during the ceremony for the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Iranian Red Crescent Society held in Tehran on May 8.

A number of authorities of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and the International Committee of the Red Cross including Francesco Rocca, IFRC President, and Robert Mardini, ICRC Director-General,  leaders and representatives of National Societies of Japan, Germany, Italy, Kuwait, Iraq, Turkey, Lebanon and Sierra Leone, ambassadors and staff of embassies of Austria, Bolivia, Sierra Leone, South Korea, Turkmenistan, Mexico, South Africa, Tajikistan, Czech Republic, Nicaragua, Syria, Nigeria, Croatia, Romania, Greece, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Egypt, New Zealand, Bulgaria, Ivory Coast Russia, Kenya, Zimbabwe, England, Australia, Philippines as well as Iranian officials from Government, parliament, etc. and the Red Crescent volunteers and donors took part in the ceremony.
