In this meeting, the IRCS president said that the Society was ready to boost its medical services to pilgrims in Iraq and on the other hand decrease the Iraqi people needs for receiving health services abroad.
Referring to his recent meeting with the Iraqi’s Minister of Health, Kolivand said: “A good cooperation is underway between the Red Crescent Societies of Iran and Iraq,”
Furthermore, he emphasized issuing the activity license for the Iranian Red Crescent doctors and nurses in Iraq.
The Iranian Red Crescent will used 4,000 doctors, 80 ambulances and 8 ambulance bus in Iraq to serve the pilgrims in this year’s Arbaeen, according to Kolivand.
Moreover, 150 dental treatment units will be deployed in Najaf-Karbala route by the Iranian Red Crescent.
In his part, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Iraq said that the Iranian Red Crescent is a major Society in the region.
“Medical staff of the Iranian Red Crescent can submit their application for voluntary services in Iraq to facilitate their stay in the country,” remarked Ahmed Al-Asadi.
Appreciating the IRCS services in Arbaeen walk, Iraqi’s Minister of Labor and Social Affairs said the Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran is active in the locations of Arbaeen walk and we hope that this Society to expand its medical centers in Iraq.
