In a message, Dr. Pir Hossein Kolivand said: “Although tens of thousands of cases of first aid by aid workers and pharmaceutical and medical services by the volunteer medical staff of the Red Crescent offered to the pilgrims of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (AS), from Iran to Najaf and Karbala, have passed 2,700,000 cases, but the humanitarian value of these services cannot be described with any figure.”
He also added that the IRCS volunteers protected the health of the pilgrims during the Arbaeen walk.
The Iranian Red Crescent reported that 2,783,866 cases of relief and treatment services were provided to Arbaeen pilgrims in Iran and Iraq from August 18th to September 6th.
